The local eateries blew my taste buds away! I found some hidden gems serving a mean Iowa pork chop and a funky taco joint with flavors that dance on your tongue. Plus, the Microtel's location was spot on for quick access to these spots, and the beds were comfy enough to crash after a long day of feasting.

On the flip side, the bathroom felt like I was auditioning for a role on a cruise ship—so tight I could barely move! And, with the carpets looking like they’ve seen better days, it seemed like the hotel had some cleaning to do.

Our room was pretty clean, but they never made the beds or emptied the trash, which was odd. Saw some ants in the room too. Oh, and parking lot looked half empty, but they said no other rooms available!

my stay at microtel was good! the room was large, clean, and comfortable. i appreciated the microwave and fridge, super convenient for snacks. located right off i-35, it was perfect for us. the staff was friendly, making our stay even better. definitely would recommend it!

Unfortunately, the carpet was noticeably dirty, especially in the elevator, and the overall furnishings felt quite basic, reminiscent of a dorm room. While the beds were clean and comfortable, I had trouble with the door locking mechanism, which took several attempts to get it to work. For the price, it's a decent option, but the cleanliness of communal areas needs improvement.
